I am sitting here at work...obviously not busy because I am on here. I am so bored I have a million and one things I could be doing at home. The upside is I am getting paid to sit here and blog. There could be worse things I guess. The girls have been pretty good this week hence no blogs this week. I am sure there are little things that they have done that would entertain those of you out there reading this, but I can not think of anything off the top of my head.
My Dad and Teresa are coming this weekend. Jeff is entering a chili cook-off at the Elks this weekend and we are planning a trip to Zion National Park this weekend. I will post pictures as I take them...if I remember to take any.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Cookie Monster Vs. Count Von Count
Grace had this sent home yesterday from school. I thought it was cute and it got the kids thinking and them thinking they were involved in some sort of voting.
We are doing a fun activity called, "your Vote Counts." We are in need of a new (imaginary) classroom helper. Cookie Monster and The Count both want the job. We can only choose one, so your child will need to vote tomorrow (election Day) on which one would do the best job.
Cookie Monster's promise is "Acookie for every kid!" He intends to deal with problems and difficult work by handing out cookies to those in need of help.
The Count says, "you can count on me!" He promises to help children think about how to solve problems, and to teach them how to find the right answers.
It will be interesting to find out how the children voted...considering we live in Utah I am sure if the parents had any say to it, it will be The count. I will keep you posted
By the way...Grace voted for the Count.

Zima
My cat Zima was very sick last week. I took her to the vet and they were not sure what was going on with her. It could be just old age. She is 13 now. She did eat last night and was whining to eat this morning. I am hoping that it was just a hair ball that has now passed and I will have some more time with her. I am so not ready to let her go. I know nobody is ever ready to let a loved one or a pet go. I will keep everyone posted on her progress.
Backwards day
This week is drug free week and there are different activities for the kids to do every day for the week. Kelsey told Grace that it was wear your clothes backwards day. The girls put their clothes on backwards and left for school. About 5 minutes later I hear the front door and Grace comes crying that no one else is wearing their clothes backward. We proceeded to change her clothes and I looked at the calendar. It was not backwards day...I guess we should look more closely. I guess Kelsey must have gone into the bathroom to change.
Halloween Party
We went to a halloween party this weekend for adults. We went with our friends Kelly and Marty. Jeff was on call so he just put on a wig...I know he looks just like his sister!!! As you can tell Marty is quite a bit taller than his girlfriend Jeff. These two scare me sometimes!
We were going "trunk-or-treating" at the local mormon church on Saturday. We had received a thing on our door and our neighbor came over and invited us. I was thinking it was at the school because in the previous year that was where it was. Well no it was at the ward. When we got there we must have looked like a bunch of idiots. We were staning around outside not having a clue as what to do. We finally saw our neighbors and they said that there was a dinner first and to come in and have dinner. My friend Jackie who belongs to another ward would not go in with me...Jeff would not go in with me so we therefore left and probably looked like more of idiots for leaving. We ended up going to Jackie's ward where they were having the trunk or treat in the parking lot. I think next year we will skip the trunk or treat and just wait for halloween.

I HATE MORNINGS!
If my girls make it through the day it will be a good one! Grace woke up on the WRONG side of the bed and my morning consisted of her having one melt down after another. I told her she had 20 minutes to get dressed, eat breakfast and get her hair fixed. I told her if she did not do all of that she will have to go to school in her underwear with her hair wet. She did finally get dressed, eat breakfast and get her hair fixed in time. Of course there was Kelsey telling Grace exactly how many minutes she had left and that going to school in just her underwear would be a total embarassment to her (Kelsey). Oh how I love the mornings!
What was I thinking?????
What was I thinking??? We are having family pictures tomorrow and what do I do? I go and get my hair cut. Not just a trim, but whacked it all off. I should have waited, but I felt like I was a mushroom head. Now I look like my girls should have two moms! Oh well in a few weeks time it will be perfect. As for the pictures they are just pictures and they will work out anyway!
